Google Plus – New Social Network to Find Friends Online

It’s the talk of the social networking world at the moment, lots of discussions around whether google plus will take out Facebook or even Twitter and what kind of impact this new facility is going to have on the Internet.

For those of you who have no idea what Google Plus is then you have been left out in the cold by your friends. This is a completely new social network which was launched in the middle of this year. You may just think that this is another Facebook or Twitter but it is so much more as it is tightly integrate with other services offered by Google.

Many also believe that it offers its users a more engaging and compelling experience than other social networks. Google wanted to create an environment that encourages easier social connections and sharing thereby creating a richer social experience and this is exactly what they have done but the only catch is that for now invitation only applies and therefore it is not open to the masses yet.

Social Network Site Google Plus

Now you might be thinking that it is a little strange that Google Plus is only open to a select few but there is a legitimate reason for this – it is only in early testing stages and therefore before they open it up to the masses they want it to be streamlined and the most efficient it can be. For those of you who are dying to get on to this network all you have to do is find a friend who has been invited and get them to invite you. Once you are in, there is a whole new social experience waiting for you.

Unlike Facebook and Twitter that have friends list and followers, Google has taken this concept to the next level and introduced what they have termed “Circles”. This means that you can organise your friends, family, and colleagues etc. into different groups. The aim of this is to reduce the social noise that is associated with other social networking sites.

In addition to this Google has additionally created what they call “Hangouts” where you can video chat with your friends or circles and there is no limit to how many people you include on the video chat. If you are now full of excitement and need to be included on this exclusive (for the moment social network) then find someone you know to invite you to Google Plus, the all-new social network to find friends via the web.
